Can students work alongside their studies in the UK/US?
In the UK and the US international students are generally able to work while they are studying.
In the UK international students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree course are permitted to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during term and full-time during holidays.
In the US international students are able to work on campus in their first year for up to 20 hours per week and apply off-campus in subsequent years. Opportunities to work post-study are also available in both the UK and the US.
