How long are programs in the United Kingdom?
There are three main program types in the United Kingdom. These are Undergraduate degrees, Masters degrees, and Ph.D., and all can be studied with different lengths.
An undergraduate honors degree in the UK is usually 3 years in length although language and sandwich degrees (degrees with 1-year work placement) take 4 years. In Scotland an honors degree takes 4 years, but students can graduate with an ordinary degree in 3 years.
A Master’s degree in the UK is usually taught over one academic year although some programs like Dentistry are 2 years. Making them excellent value for money and helping students to be work-ready sooner.
A full-time Ph.D. can usually be completed in 3 or 4 years, while part-time Ph.D.'s can take up to 6 or 7 years.
