Can students work either during or after their degrees in the UK?

International students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate degree course are permitted to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during term and full-time during holidays. Post-study there are opportunities for international students under The Work Visa (Tier 2) scheme.

The British Government announced that international students graduating from British universities would be offered the ability to remain in the UK for two years. This was available to students for the 2020-2021 academic year. More information can be found on the UKCISA website.
